Here is a list of a few opportunities that may just get you on the right track for volunteering!
Singapore Police Force - Volunteer Special Constabulary (VSC)
Join an important part of the Singapore Police Force - the Volunteer Special Constabulary (VSC). The VSC is made up of both male and female volunteers, coming from all walks of life. While you may be a professional, businessperson, teacher, office staff or bus captain, when you join the VSC you serve the nation as volunteer police officers. Volunteers are trained, coached, and positioned to front line policing, and complement and supplement the Police Force. Find out more about the Volunteer Special Constabulary.

Singapore Prison Service - Volunteers
The community can play a big role in helping offenders from the prison system become responsible citizens. Through support by volunteers, community organisations and inmates' families, the prisons service hopes to mobilise and involve the community in both in-care and aftercare. Just imagine the benefits of rehabilitation and aftercare increasing with the help and involvement of the community.
There are many opportunities for people to volunteer their services with this department. It's simple to submit an application online - so partner with the Singapore Prison Service in the re-integration of offenders - join the 'Captains of Lives'. To go to the application form simply click here.
Volunteer Probation Officer (VPO)
Helping probationers successfully complete their probation is important in building a strong and resilient community. Volunteer Probation Officers lend a hand in this. Complementing Probation Officers, VPOs visit, advise and keep connected to the probationer. The role of a VPO calls for great responsibility, but the impact that you can make on an individual and the community at large, is worth it!

Become a friend to a family. Volunteers support the day-to-day functions of families who may be in a time of adjustment. Volunteers of the Enable-A-Family (EAF) Scheme help with ensuring safety of children and their families, encouraging the workings within the family, assisting them to cope with crisis and improving the chances that the family can stay together. Volunteers are also the key links in connecting families to resources in the community.
