Getting Ready for Parenthood

Tips to make the parenting journey more fulfilling:

  • Use your resources from the support network of family, friends, healthcare professionals and community organisations.
  • Keep on learning.  There are many professionals resources available to parents today.  Invest time in them, read them, talk to friends about what you've learnt.  Attend parenting workshops, talks and seminars to keep on learning as your children grow and your role changes.
  • Limit your activities.  Physical exhaustion is common experience.  Balancing the dual responsibilities of career and family.  Re-evaluate your commitments and prioritise your goal.
