Flying High ... The Spirit of FLC
For the FLCs who participated in the first FLC Development Programme, 15 August was a day of celebration. It was their Graduation Ceremony.
The FLC Development Programme commenced in January this year. During this six-month modular workshop, the FLCs got a chance to network, bond and engage themselves in a series of experiential training.
The ceremony was held in the presence of their CCC Chairmen and family members. All graduates received their certificate of graduation from the Guest-of-Honour, Mr. Tan Boon Huat, CED of PA. A meaningful video clip that captured the FLCs in action was shown and it rekindled the fond memories of camaraderie they shared. The ceremony ended with shouts of cheers and laughter from the invited guests. They were also treated to a ride onboard Singapore Flyer where they indulged themselves in the beautiful night scenery of Singapore.
Sentosa on Wheels for Singles

39 individuals from different social and ethnic backgrounds were brought together by a common interest - Cycling. Jointly organised by Sembawang FLC, (name of FLC), and the Social Development Service, the event targetted singles who enjoy outdoor sports. Through numerous fun teambuilding games and a huge array of beach games, it was indeed two thumbs-up for interaction opportunities created amongst the singles.
My Little Room

Always wanted to create the perfect room for your child with your own hands? The young parents of Geylang Serai Division were given the opportunity to create a model of the ideal room for their children.
On 26 July, participating families gathered at the International Furniture Centre at Sungei Kadut Loop with their handcrafted model furniture. Together with their children, it was a race against time as they started creating a model haven for their children out of recycled materials. Mr. Fuji, also one of the regular panelists for MediaCorp programme 'Home Survival - Bai Jia Le', was the invited judge for the competition. It was a memorable day of parents-child teamwork.
