One of People’s Association’s (PA) key focus in Year 2006 is to celebrate love and family life in the community. One target group that the PA would like to reach out to is the Newly Weds.
Hence, this year, the PA, togther with the Family Life Champions (FLCs) will work hand in hand to reach out to the newly weds.
It will be helpful for the newly weds to come together and share their experience on married life. Interest groups known as the ‘M Club’ will be formed by the FLCs for newly weds within the constituency. The M Club, with the ‘M’ representing Married, is essentially an informal interest group for newlyweds to come together at the grassroots level and share their experience as married couples. During the sharing sessions, the newly weds can share tips with each other on lifestyle activities, programmes or even plain gossips about each other’s spouses. This promotes familiarity and neighblourliness. Listening to other couples and sharing with them will enable them to learn more about their spouses in a deeper way.
