Choose A Secondary School

If you have completed your PSLE already, choosing a secondary school is one decision you and your parents will have to make together. There are a few important things to consider when you choose a school.

  • Would I prefer to go to an all boys or girls or a co-ed school?
  • Am I prepared to travel to go to a school that is a distance from my home?
  • Am I aware of the subjects I have to take during secondary school?
  • What do I know or need to know about the schools I'm interested in attending?

Choose Pre-university Education

Well, you are finally finished and through your GCE 'O' Levels. Now you have to decide where to go from here. While your results do play a major part in determining your entry eligibility, it is very important to make wise decisions based on informed choices.

This is NOT something that you decide in haste. Take your time - visit the school, find out all about the different options that exist. Have a firm understanding of your own interests and inclination before making any decision about your future.

Choose University Education

Mortar boardDeciding to take on the challenge of a course of study at a University is a big decision in your life. Your course of study will be determined by your future goals, ambition, and plans for your career.

Take your time to understand the decisions involved.

  • Do you intend on pursuing your education locally or overseas?
  • How do you plan to finance your university education - through your parent's CPF? Or application for a scholarship or student loan?
  • What are your interests and strengths - does that affect your choice of study?
  • What will be expected of you depending on the course you choose?
  • Are you prepared to commit your time and efforts to the course you have chosen?
